Well, Addie is 13 months old today and I decided to give Addie a little trim in the haircut area. Not easy when you are dealing with a one year-old, so thankfully her hair is a little curly/wavy! Unfortunately, it seems like it's getting straighter as she gets older:( Here are the before and after pics. And, we graduated to bigger bows. I never really liked big bows, but now I find them completely fantastic!

Fun with Family!
My brother and his wife (Tim and Kasey) came for a quick visit Monday night and Tuesday on their way out to Colorado for missions training. They had never been to Tulsa before, so it was nice having them out here! Addison had a blast, to say the least. They had never seen her with so much energy.... but they usually see her around her three older cousins! She sure gave them a show and totally knew it, too! We can't wait to see them on the way back to North Carolina in August! Here are a few pics...

Uncle Tim and Aunt Kasey
Uncle Tim built LOTS of towers... I'm not sure if he was building them for Addie or himself! Although her hand is in front of her face, you can still tell that she is having a blast.
20 minutes of building, 2 seconds to destroy:)
Kasey has never seen her in pigtails, so at 7:45pm I let Addie rummage through her bow box so that she would sit still for a couple of minutes. It's the only thing that seems to work! Too bad they had to come out a few minutes later for bed:) Kasey can see why I don't have her in pigtails all the time. Way too time consuming, especially when you're dealing with a wiggle worm:)

Shower Kisses
One Year Old! Pics, Bday and Family Visit
Nana, Poppa and Uncle Brent came to visit for Addie's first birthday. Here are pics from their visit...

Uncle Brent (Scott's brother)
Addie's new swing

Does she look like she's having fun or what??
Hopefully she'll enjoy gardening as she gets older as much as I do! Of course, right now all she likes to do is pull the flowers off.... a big NO NO when Momma is around:)
Many of you know that Addison is a girly girl already. And that includes being totally different than boys in terms of the outside world. We are slowly trying to get her to sit, stand, be near grass without freaking out. Here she is for the first time of grass without crying. (We were SUPER proud of her mini accomplishment!) Not sure if her hiney is actually touching the ground. :)

And, here's our birthday girl.

Pray for my niece, Erin
Please pray for my niece, Erin. She is just a few months older than Addison and was airlifted last Sunday to a Children's Hospital in NC for heart failure. Basically, a virus quickly attacked her heart and right now they are looking at life long meds and/or heart transplant. Today they are weaning her off of the ventilator and sedation meds to see if her heart will tolerate it. I cannot imagine what my brother and sister-in-law (Scott and Leslie) are going through. I know that God is a good God, he is in control and I pray for strength for Scott and Leslie as they go through this. Here's a picture of Erin, Great Grandmother Ziegfeld, and Chief (my grandfather who passed away recently). If you'd like to follow their journey, feel free to look at their CarePage.
Best Friends (Well, sort of...)
Addison loves Buster. She squeals in delight when she sees him outside playing, she gets a big smile when he comes in to greet her after waking up, and she just loves to play on the couch next to him. And, the good dog that he is, he just tolerates it. Here are a few pics we took outside of the two.... I think they are precious. I hope he will be a good guard dog for her as she gets older:)
