Two months old!

Emma turned 2 months old this past Saturday! We had her Dr. appointment today and she is 11 1/2 pounds now, a half pound heavier than Addison was at the same time. She is now smiling and talking to us, which is a lot of fun.

This one cracks me up-I can see her giving me this smile later when she is older and is trying to get out of being in trouble!

Someone else wanted her picture taken. Trust me, it is VERY hard to get her to smile now! I kept saying, "No, don't you give me a smile!" It worked!?! She thought I was so funny! I loooooooove those curls!

It's HOT!

It was HOT here in Tulsa today... 90 degrees! Thankfully, it will be in the low 70s tomorrow. It's crazy how quickly the weather can change out here, and to such extremes! I'm not quite ready for those temps yet! I decided to make the most of it and get Addison out in her swimsuit. I tried to introduce her again to the sprinkler, but when that cold water touched her foot, she would have nothing more to do with it! Such a girl:)
Isn't she a cutie? She looks so big!

Emma: ~8 weeks

Here's our cutie...she's almost 8 weeks old! You can't really tell from the picture, but her hair is a little curly/crazy after she gets a bath. It straightens within an hour, but it's definitely curly for a little bit!
Here is Addison around 10 weeks old. I still think they look a lot alike, though Addison definitely had much longer hair! I'll have to take a picture in a couple of weeks of Emma in that same outfit and then compare the two girls:)

Backyard Blooms

Over the past 4 years, Scott and I have created a perrenial flower garden from scratch. (For those of you who don't garden, those are the plants that come back every year.) It took a lot of sweat, but we have it where we want it... well, almost:) I did find a plant or two that needs transplanting, a word Scott doesn't like to hear! It always amazes me how we go from bare twigs to beautiful leaves and flowers in just a few weeks. I love looking outside each day. Remind me of that when I have to water every day when it's over a hundred degrees here in a couple of months! And, yes... I've already killed one plant and Buster's great aim is working on killing another one, too!

My first rose of the season!
Dianthus
Weigela bush

My peonies... this could be the first year I actually get to see the buds turn into flowers!

Lilac bush... it smells wonderful! This is the first time in 4 years that a frost hasn't damaged it.

Bubbles

We finally got out Addison's Bubble Grill, a present from my brother and his family. She was so excited about it and watched Daddy carefully as he put it together.

Being a great big sister...

Uncle B and Poppa!

Uncle B and Poppa came Friday night and Addison has enjoyed every minute of it. She noticed EVERY time Uncle B was not in the room and wondered where he was! It's been gorgeous here in Tulsa lately, so we spent a lot of time outside. I've also been able to get all of my spring planting done this week. Now the part I hate... watering!

Addie on one of the many trips to get flowers

Emma even came outside a few times:)
I love the spring.... planting flowers is just one of those things in life that I totally enjoy!

Erin B, this is for you: Her eyes are open!! :)

Happy Easter!

Trying to get a family picture.
Toddler not cooperating + crying baby

Dying eggs with Nana. Her favorite part? Once they were dry, she cracked every single one of them on the counter.

Happy that plastic eggs in her basket had M & Ms inside.
Our very own Easter egg hunt in our back yard

All done!
