SnapShop

This weekend I took a SnapShop class with Ashley Campbell, a local Broken Arrow photographer. You can check out her blog and photography website at http://ashleyannphotography.com/blog/. After having her 4th child (all kids are 5 and under!), Ashley turned to teaching classes, or SnapShops, instead of booking sessions. We learned a ton (most of which is still floating up in my head) in that 8 hour day and hopefully I'll soon have the time to practice my new found skills/knowledge. Now I see why most photography classes are several hours/weeks long.... there is so much to learn! Here are a few pictures I took from the class:

Two of Ashley's boys. They LOVE legos. I don't know anything about that since I have a girl!

Messing with Adobe Photoshop. I know there's so many cool things to do on this program, but I don't have a clue how to do them all!

Home of the Flu

As Scott's parents were flying in from North Carolina last week, I was taking Scott to the doctor's office. If your husband is the same as mine, he only goes to the doctor when he is really sick. After awhile our doctor came back in the room and said, "Your flu test came back negative, but you have the flu!" That started several days of isolation, causing Scott's brother to cancel his trip here, meds for Scott and for me, and many awful days for Scott! Hopefully I will be able to report a much better end to his family's trip!

Here's a pic with Nana and Poppa. Addison has been enjoying EVERY minute with them!

It's a...

GIRL!
We laugh at this idea because when we first got married, Scott's grandma told me, "You know, you'll never have a girl in this family." All of his cousins are boys...I guess we are breaking that trend!

Smile, please!

I've been trying to teach Addison how to smile on cue, but have been unsucessful until tonight. I think she finally got it (or better yet, I think she has known what I've been talking about for awhile and just decided to do it tonight!).

18 Months Old

Addison officially turned 18 months old this month and time sure does seem to be flying by these days. With all the rain I haven't taken many pictures recently, so here are a few over the past couple of weeks. Oh, we just went to her 18 month check up and Addison is in the 88th percentile in height and 43rd percentile in weight. So glad she got Scott's tall genes in her!

As I was making dinner and Scott was in the shower, she took her Sam's club size gold fish container into the bathroom (which I didn't know at the time). Below is the final result. They were even in our tub! Look at her stuffing her face before throwing them away.

We took Addison to the zoo for the first time. She really liked the petting zoo. I learned that you sure do have to watch those goats because they'll just get up quickly and start pooping pellets all over the place!!

When Addison turned a year old in March, I really wasn't sure if this scene would EVER happen. She cried every time her feet touched the ground, really! We still need to work with sand, though. Also, when you have a girl, there's a whole lot of baby talk. She carries her babies all over the house, feeds them, puts them nite nite, etc.

With all the rain, we've been reading a lot of books. J. Nuss, this is the one you gave us-she still loves it!

Oh, the naked pictures:) It's so cute to watch her after she gets out of the shower. Sometimes she'll bust out of the shower and immediately start running naked all over the house.

Chick-fil-A Free Sandwich on Monday!

Hey everyone,

Scott saw on ESPN that Chick-fil-A is giving away a free chicken sandwich tomorrow, Labor Day, if you wear your favorite sports team logo! They are giving them away from 10:30-close. Here's the website: http://www.chickfila.com/#home. Enjoy!

Baby Bump Pic

Week 13
-I have one pair of pants that I can still wear as long as I don't button them:)
-We're hoping to find out if we're having a boy or girl at our next appointment in 3 weeks!
-Baby Beam is now the size of a jumbo shrimp and still making me feel sick most of the time.
