Random Pics

Here's what we've been up to this summer so far:
Swim lessons with Daddy for two weeks. Still won't put her head under water or blow bubbles near the water. Actually, she was the only kiddo who cried every time they were supposed to go under water. Then during the last class, she finally rubbed off on all the other children because no one would do it the last day:)

Playing outside usually with water. Thanks, Mimi!

Running. This kid loves to run.

Drawing. She loves those crayons for the bath. Mini Picasso, I know.

All of these things make me want to do this...

I still don't know how this girl manages to get her arm out of the crib every time!! And, no matter how far back we put her, she always scoots all the way to the other end.

Lots of holding Emma, or Memma, as she calls her.

Eating lots of fruits and veggies. My friend from Jazzercise has a BIG garden and I paid her $15 to get fresh organic veggies all summer long. What a deal!!
Also, not pictured: Lots of peeing in the potty! No poop yet, but that's fine with me. She's only wearing a diaper when she's sleeping. I'm so proud of my girl!
Next on our list: Vacation!!

Happy Birthday Buster!

Buster turned 5 this week! I got a griddle and decided he should have a wonderful pancake breakfast. (Ok, I really wanted to try a new Pioneer Woman recipe!)

Yum... buttermilk pancakes and turkey bacon.

This cutie just woke up and wanted to watch me. She loooooves pancakes.

Yes, Scott taped this special day. Here is the funniest part: Buster picking up and eating the pancake whole. Cracks us up every time we watch it.

Emma Laughing and Potty Training

Sorry for the lack of posts recently. Our internet has had issues over the past week!
I finally got a couple of videos uploaded. They wouldn't upload here, so I uploaded them on Vimeo instead. Here is one of Emma laughing at me. She has rolled over a couple of times now in her crib, but we haven't witnessed it yet!
On another note, we are now in the middle of potty training. A week before we go on vacation!?! What am I thinking??Anyway, here's a cute video of her experience. She was interested last Friday, so I thought we'd try as usual with the same outcome... back in diapers. However, after working through some issues, she stuck with it this whole weekend! She's been doing really well so far and even went at church and Target. Last night, I was talking to my mother-in-law about how great she was doing and evidently I spoke too soon. As we were eating ice cream at Marble Slab (doesn't your mouth just water thinking about that place?) she sat on my lap and basically peed all over me. I was soaked and it looked like I had just peed my pants!! I had to drive all the way home like that, too! I guess I need to start bringing extra clothes for me as well!

Night Swim

We finally went as a family to the neighborhood pool tonight! Emma and Addison wore their matching swimsuits (thanks, Nana and Poppa!). It was a little too windy and the water was a bit too cool for Emma to get in, but she still rocked it in her pink suit!

I love those little rolls that are starting to form!!

Smoothies!

It was a perfect night for smoothies and a yummy ABCLT Wrap! (I decided not to make the dressing as I had two kiddos that needed my attention and just spread lite honey mustard or ranch on the wrap instead. It was GOOOOOOD.) Addison loves smoothies and gets very excited when we make them. She loves to be a part of the whole process, especially the taste test. We had to blend it in the laundry room so that we wouldn't wake her sister up, and she couldn't wait before tasting it!
We made it back to the kitchen, and here she was again!
Yum!

Then Daddy joined in the fun. I'm glad I made a bunch or there wouldn't have been any left for me!!

Dentist and Random Pics

We took Addison to the dentist for the first time today. I was a little nervous about it, but she walked in and hopped right up on the chair! Of course, when they asked her to open her mouth she wouldn't! When Dr. O came over to check her out, she did open her mouth and then cried as he checked her teeth. It was over quickly and after we got in the car, she said, "More dentist??" She did the same thing last time she got her shots. She just wanted more stickers!
Examining her new toothbrush

Proudly showing her new snake. Of all the things to pick out of the treasure chest. I thought she'd go for something girly!?!

She's 3 months old today! She's been talking to us a lot lately. I love this stage. When she sees my face after a nap, she usually gives me a big smile and starts talking to me!

This is my life right now... Two kiddos in diapers and Buster:)

Drawing Poppa

When Nana came to stay with us when Emma was born, she drew Poppa one time for Addison. Since then, we have been drawing Poppa's face EVERY day for two months now! When we were talking to Nana and Poppa tonight on Skype, she said she wanted to draw him. I thought it was pretty good for a 2 year-old!
